At Hiltingbury Infant School, the safety of our children is paramount and everyone's responsibility. Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. In this section, you will find our safeguarding and child protection policy, the Keeping Children Safe in Education statutory guidance and our safeguarding team poster of who to contact if you need support. 

We respond immediately to any concerns and implement relevant follow up work with children, parents and the wider community. We have recently looked at the NSPCC 'PANTS' rule with all children, please see the parent information and links below.

• NSPCC Speak out Stay Safe
  As a school we work with the NSPCC to deliver the Speak out Stay Safe message. To find out more about the Speak out. Stay safe. programme please head to the NSPCC website.

• NSPCC activities for children at home
  Keep busy while learning about staying safe and speaking out with our at-home activities for primary school children. These are hosted on the NSPCC website.

• Online Safety Hub NSPCC
  Please visit the NSPCC online safety hub where you will find advice and information on a range of different online safety topics including gaming, social media, parental controls and more.

• Childline under 12's website
  Childline also have a website with age appropriate advice for primary school children on topics such as bullying. It also has games and other interactive tools. Your child can visit it on the following web link.

• Talking PANTS with your children
  We talk about the PANTS rule with children in school, talk PANTS is a simple conversation to help keep children safe from sexual abuse. From P through to S, each letter of PANTS provides a simple but important message that can help keep children safe.
